A bit more about me...
Jeremy T. Butler is an educator, singer, songwriter, pastor, and entrepreneur. He currently serves
as the Lead Pastor of FreedomLife Church located in Benton Harbor, MI, where he passionately
leads a diverse congregation in pursuing spiritual growth and community impact. Butler is the
founder and CEO of a number of non-profit and for-profit entities including: The Freedom Center
for Arts & Education, The United Worship Encounters International, J.Terrell Enterprises, J.B.
Project Musica (Arts Publishing and Promotion Company), while also providing independent
consulting to leaders and creatives across the globe. In addition to this, Butler is the Head of
Vocal Music Instruction for Benton Harbor Area Schools.
Butler pursued his secular education at Chicago State University and Berklee College of Music in
Boston, MA, where he honed his skills in music and gained a solid foundation in academic
studies. Recognizing his calling to ministry, he furthered his education at Gordon-Conwell
Theological Seminary and Berean School of the Bible, where he received comprehensive training
in theology and pastoral ministry.
Butler’s journey has taken him across the globe, impacting lives in various countries including
Mexico, Kenya, Italy, Israel, South Africa, Romania, Barbados, U.S. Virgin Islands, United
Kingdom, and throughout the United States of America. His international experiences have
enriched his perspective and deepened his understanding of global creativity and expression.
Butler has dedicated his life to advancing the arts for future generations, and remains committed
to developing programs, building systems, and offering mentorship that unlocks the
transformative freedom of creative expression—for both youth and adults alike.
